Man City to Dump Nigerian Forward, Kelechi Iheanacho
Kelechi Iheanacho

English club, Manchester City appears to have deemed Nigerian striker – Iheanacho surplus to requirement following a season of limited activities on the pitch.
Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho is set to become the most surprising member of manager Pep Guardiola’s summer clearout at the Etihad Stadium with the club willing to listen to offers for the 20-year-old Nigerian.

German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have already expressed an interest in the young forward who was tipped for the top by former City boss Manuel Pellegrini and has scored 21 goals for City despite making only 20 starts.

Under Guardiola however, Iheanacho’s progress has been restricted by the £27million signing of young Brazilian international centre forward Gabriel Jesus and there is an acceptance he could move on to help finance a rebuild at the club this summer.

Though there is likely to be Premier League interest in Iheanacho, Dortmund are likely to be able to offer Champions League football next season and the chance to play with star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if he stays at the club.

Manchester City are likely to ask close to £20million for a player they signed in 2014 from the Taye Academy in Nigeria and who is under contract until 2021. Southampton and Hoffenheim have enquired about loans but it is understood City are also prepared to look at permanent transfers.

Stalwart Pablo Zabaleta has already announced he will be leaving at the end of the season and is expected to sign for West Ham while Yaya Toure, Jesus Navas, Willy Caballero, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy are all out of contract in June. Joe Hart, Eliaquim Mangala, Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony and Jason Denayer were all sent on loan this season and unlikely to feature in Guardiola’s future plans.

(Photo by Sunset Boulevard/Corbis via Getty Images) It is with a heavy heart that we must report that actor Sir Roger Moore has died at the age of 89. His family made the announcement, revealing that the actor passed away today in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer. “The love with which he was surrounded in his final days was so great it cannot be quantified in words alone,” they wrote in a statement. “We know our own love and admiration will be magnified many times, across the world, by people who knew him for his films, his television shows and his passionate work for  UNICEF  which he considered to be his greatest achievement.’ “The affection out father felt whenever he walked on to a stage or in front of a camera buoyed him hugely and kept him busy working into his 90th year, through to his last appearing in November 2016 on stage at London’s Roya...
OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIANS WHY BUHARI SHOULD NOT BE RE-ELECTED In exercise of my Constitutional Right to Freedom of Expression, in a democratic system, as guaranteed under Section 39 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), I write this article without prejudice. So many Nigerians, prominent and otherwise, have expressed their deep concerns about the state of affairs of Nigeria under the watch of President Mohammadu Buhari.  But he seems to be unperturbed about their concerns and the failing Nigeria state he presides over. While I refrain from the alleged leadership incompetence of Mr President as opined by so many Nigerians, including past leaders, I will restrict myself to the direct impact of Buhari’s administration on Nigerians and Nigeria. If nation building is a collective effort, this is my own way of contributing to the course of nation building. If the President choose vendetta on this, it confirms his narrow heartedness and if he a...
